- 2 lbs potatoes (diced)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 onion (finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the smoked sausage slices until fully cooked; remove from heat.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onions and garlic, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
