Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • All-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • ½ medium onion (chopped)
  • 12 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 12 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces; season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned (about 3 minutes per side). Transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and butter; sauté mushrooms and onions for about 6–8 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; cook for another minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth while scraping the skillet's bottom to deglaze. Return chicken to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  7. Serve immediately over your choice of egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice.
