  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, warm water, and sweetened condensed milk. Sprinkle yeast on top and let froth for about 5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually mix into the yeast mixture.
  3. Add softened butter and egg; stir until combined.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for about an hour until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls on a lined baking sheet, cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix beaten egg with water for an egg wash and brush over the dough.
  8. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
