  • ½ green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ⅔ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 16 oz spaghetti (1 pound box)
  • 3 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sauté the cabbage and carrots for about 5 minutes until tender.
  2. Mix in soy sauce, brown sugar, ground mustard, ground ginger, and garlic powder. Stir well.
  3. Add spaghetti (breaking it in half if desired) and pour in water. Cook uncovered for 15-18 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once fully cooked, remove from heat and toss with sesame seeds before serving.
