  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean / 20% fat)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1624 slices pepperoni

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Form into four equal patties.
  2. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Toast the buns on a baking sheet under the broiler until golden brown.
  3. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked to your liking.
  4. Warm the pizza sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Spread half of the sauce on the bottom halves of toasted buns; top with half of the cheese and pepperoni. Broil until cheese melts.
  5. Assemble by adding cooked patties on top of the bun bottoms, followed by remaining sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Broil again if desired until everything is melty.
