  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • Powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg, then add molasses and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized dough portions into balls and coat in powdered sugar.
  6. Place on the baking sheet with space in between and bake for about 10 minutes until edges are set.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
