- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
- Add garlic salt, olive oil, and sourdough discard to the mixture.
- Gradually mix in the flour using a dough hook until the dough is smooth and elastic (around 4 minutes).
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
- Roll the risen dough into a rectangle and place it on a greased baking sheet.
- Brush the surface with melted butter and sprinkle herbs and cheeses evenly on top.
- Allow the dough to rise again for about 15 minutes while preheating your oven to 400°F.
