Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cups chocolate chips
  • 28 Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 6 oz dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a greased 9×13 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. For the cookie layer, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy. Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla until combined. Gradually add in flour and salt before folding in chocolate chips.
  3. Spread the cookie mixture evenly in the prepared pan, layering Oreos on top.
  4. For the brownie layer, melt dark chocolate and cubed butter together until smooth. Stir in granulated sugar, then add eggs one at a time, followed by flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter over the Oreos and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Allow cooling completely before slicing into squares.
